Hello and thank you for checking out my blog. My name is Christina Massey and I have been taking pictures for as long as I can remember. Photography has been a passion of mine for many years.

I specialize in fun photography for families, children, pets, and events. On location work is my favorite. Why? Because there is something about a romp in the leaves, a roll in the tall green sweet grass, splashing in the ocean, or dock-jumping into the pond that brings out the laughter and good times in all animals and humans. You can enjoy your portrait sessions on-location with natural light and completely relaxed. No props or posing. Just your family and their larger-than-life personality. A relaxing, laid back session where you actually have fun? Absolutely. Also keep in mind that I am completely portable, and you will be able to view and order your pictures as soon as we take them!

These are the words my clients use to describe my style. My photography goes way beyond khakis and white shirts. I am not out to create that perfect, traditional portrait of your child. Life isn't perfect. I want to capture who your child really is...missing front tooth, messy hair, or ice cream covered mouth... your child will only be this age once. Capture them. Not just their outside appearance, or a forced smile. Capture their spirit. I'll do that for you. It's what I do. Its what I love.

Maternity

Artistic maternity portraits, fine pregnancy portraits, pregnancy photos, maternity photos, maternity pictures, pregnancy pictures, So many ways to say it but it all comes down to your precious memories of this wonderful time. If you are having a maternity portrait session then I advise you to book your session for about 6 weeks (34 weeks) before your due date.
If you have decided to do this last minute and you are already past that date then please feel free to contact me to see if I have any openings. On the day of the shoot make sure you have something to eat and try to avoid tight clothing that
may leave elastic marks on your skin.
I recommend plain clothing with no logos. We want to emphasize your beautiful shape and busy clothes can be distracting. I always take the time before each session to discuss the sort of portrait that you want to have before we start. Some moms-to-be want to celebrate their bump fully clothed and others are happy to go for a more intimate type session.
However you chose to be photographed, the end result will be a beautiful piece or art that will celebrate the wonderful nine month journey that you are going through.

NEWBORNS
The first two weeks is one of the most amazing periods in your child's life. Because during these two weeks they will change so quickly, it is important to capture the tiny details: that fuzzy skin, newborn belly button, and tiny soft fingernails...before they change forever.

STYLE
My style highlights the unique features that define your baby. I strive to create distinct images that will be cherished for a lifetime.

SESSION
This session is longer than any other session, lasting 2-3 hours. I understand that newborns cannot be rushed, so I leave plenty of time for feedings, diaper changes, and yes, even crankiness!

WHEN TO CALL
It is important to call me before the birth of your child. By calling ahead, I can note your due date and plan my schedule accordingly; then be sure to contact me as soon as possible after the birth of your child so I can reserve a spot for you.

MY FAVORITE AGE
Newborns are best photographed right at or just under a week old. At this age they are still sleepy, and I am able to curl and position them.Older babies tend to sleep less and develop baby acne. Newborn sessions must take place within the first 2 weeks of life.

So the question remains..who owns whom?

Observational candid photography of pets in a natural environment produces spectacular images with innate emotions.

Prefer that I come to your home? No problem at all! Sometimes the best place to capture those candid moments is while your pet is asleep on your bed, playing in the backyard, or laying at your feet while you have tea, make dinner, or even check your email. It's all about your vision, where your pet is comfortable, and producing images that represent YOUR pet.

So, lets get out there with you and your animal friends and let's bark it up!
